Academic background: I have a B. Sc. in Mobile Media & a M. Sc. in Computer Science and Media (Stuttgart Media University)
Work background: I have worked as a freelance software developer (mostly web design and development, some IT consulting), working student at the AI institute of my previous university, web developer, tutor for mathematics, and other random jobs you do as a student (most fun was probably working at an escape room).
Journalistic experience: Only from a student magazine, and I worked as a proofreader for a local German newspaper (Schwäbische Zeitung) when I was in highschool.
Writing skills (English): Okay, mostly wrote academic content though.

Knowledge of the European Parliament (relevant to the CJC project): a little
Special interests/knowledge relevant to research/investigative journalism: I am very interested in tech-related topics such as IT security, AI (e.g. social bias in Machine Learning), privacy & surveillance, freedom of information. But I am also into lobbyism, far-right movements, financial crimes, and pretty much anything else when I start looking into the details.
Other skills/hobbies: Playing board games, cooking (love spicy food and anything with broccoli), listening to podcasts, watching documentaries, playing tennis (badly), surfing (even more badly), being near the water, learning languages.
I think I will be able to support my fellow students with: Anything techy like open-source tools, security awareness & tips, online research, data analysis in Python. I can provide some tools/resources regarding working with different kinds of data such as documents, satellite images, audio (wrote my master’s thesis in the area of timestamping audio recordings by extracting the power grid frequency, in case anyone is interested in that niche topic ;)).
