  • Knowledge of the European Parliament: During my BA, I studied and analysed European institutions in depth, such as the Parliament. So I got to know the actors and institutions involved, with a particular focus on the electoral process.
  • Special interests/knowledge relevant to research/investigative journalism: My research so far has mainly focused on migration studies. In particular, I specialised in crimmigration and wrote articles about the European borders. In fact, I have researched and shared my findings on migrants’ experiences of the Polish-Belarusian border and the Lithuanian border. I also researched the British migration laws and the recent changes they have undergone.
  • Other skills/hobbies: I love gardening, hiking and baking sourdough bread.
  • I think I will be able to support my fellow students with: Throughout my working life I have had many different jobs, trying to be the best at each one. This allowed me to become quite adaptable to many different environments and taught me how to work under pressure. Changing jobs and places of study also means learning how to work with many different people. This is also something I am very good at.
