Academic background: Bachelor in political science with a specialization in international relations.
Work background: Besides several side jobs within the service sector and working with kids, I interned at Amnesty Sweden at the Individuals and Communities at Risk unit as a part of my bachelor’s degree. This experience expanded my knowledge in numerous areas, such as monitoring cases, communications, and graphic design.
Journalistic experience: None, but I have been exposed to journalistic work at Amnesty Sweden since many of the arbitrarily detained individuals we worked with are journalists. I look forward to learning more about conducting journalism from our lecturers and everyone else’s experiences.
Writing skills (English): I am confident in writing academic English, I wrote my bachelor thesis in English, but I wish to expand my vocabulary.

Knowledge of the European Parliament (relevant to the CJC project). I was taught the basics of the European Parliament in my previous studies. I also participated in a summer school in Prague last summer where EU topics were lectured on and discussed, such as the EU Green Deal, energy security, etc.
Special interests/knowledge relevant to research/investigative journalism: I think my interest in and knowledge of human rights questions in some cases can be helpful for investigative journalism.
Other skills/hobbies: I love reading, movies, skiing, finding new study spots and being in nature.
I think I will be able to support my fellow students with: I hope that I can help in understanding the political aspects of the work we’ll do, connecting back to my previous education. Having lived in Gothenburg for three years and being a Swede, you can always ask me about anything relating to living here, and hopefully, I’ll be able to provide a good answer!
