Assignment 1

a)Short description:Firstly, I have chosen a blue colour for the line, similar to the colour of the IAEA logo, and at the end of the line I have explained that this number represents the number of nuclear reactors in the world, so that you can understand it clearly. Finally, at the bottom of the view, I have added comments and sources to make the data easier to understand.

b)Short description:I have selected 10 countries to show the data in descending order of the countries' ranking of the total net electricity generating capacity of nuclear reactors worldwide. I have labelled the data above each bar for ease of viewing. The y-axis represents the total net electricity generating capacity of nuclear reactors and the x-axis represents the countries.

c )Answer

I followed the visual checklist to do this. I think it's easy to change colours with Datawrapper, but it's hard to find the colour you want, and you have to keep trying to find the exact colour. I found word processing easy. Overall, Datawrapper is not as flexible and usable as Fourish, which I find more powerful. The data visualisation charts we created can be viewed on mobile devices such as mobile phones, computers and ipads. If you want to view them on a mobile phone, I think you need to resize the charts to fit the screen of the phone etc.

Assignment 2

a)

b)

c)answer:I have followed the steps in the checklist and Flourish is a little easier to change with a wider variety of colours and Flourish is easy to use with text. There is no way to resize the background image when you add it, which is a bit inconvenient, and there is no way to set the transparency of the background image, which I think could be improved. I think it could be improved. It can automatically help you to add different colours according to the content of the chart, which is very handy. There is no problem accessing it on mobile phones, it is displayed according to the size of different devices, which is convenient for us to view.

d)

Assignment 3

I think it is easier and faster to use Datawrapper for simple data processing visualisation, and it can be used for simple comparisons when the data is smaller, and it has the advantage of a cleaner operation and fewer choices, which is more convenient. When we need to deal with more data and add more colours to the background to make the chart clearer, I think Flourish is more convenient, it has more powerful features and a more perfect way to make a lot of types.
