Academic Background: I hold an MSc in Political Science from Uppsala University and a BSc with focus on International Business and Politics from Stockholm University. Additionally, I spent two semesters at SciencesPo Paris, where I completed coursework in international relations, political science, sociology, and history.
Work Background: I served as a full-time research assistant at the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (IDEA) for 6 months. As a member of the Democracy Assessment Unit, I actively engaged in both qualitative and quantitative research to support IDEA’s knowledge products and other releases for the Global State of Democracy reports. Leveraging my skills in data visualization and analysis using R, I also contributed to the enhancement of the GSoD Indices dataset and its promotion on social media. Moreover, I assisted in the final drafting of GSoD reports, aided in the preparation and writing of country-specific profiles, monitored events affecting democratic performance on the Democracy Tracker, and played a role in the production and development of IDEA’s social media communication and blog posts. Lastly, I was responsible for event organization and worked on numerous collaborative projects with external stakeholders.
Journalistic Experience: While I lack formal journalistic experience, I have two blog posts published at International IDEA and the Electoral Integrity Project. Furthermore, for both my BSc and MSc theses, I conducted individual interviews and focus groups, honing my interviewing skills, particularly in an academic context.
Writing Skills (English): All my education and work have been conducted in English, leading me to develop great writing skills, particularly within academic contexts.
Excel (Spreadsheets) Experience: Yes.
Python Experience: No, but I aspire to learn it in the near future.
Proficiency in Other Programming Languages: I possess some experience in data visualization using R and data analysis and visualization in Stata.

Graphic/Illustration Skills: Amateur skills in Canva and Photoshop.
Digital Publishing/Social Media: Yes, as mentioned, I was responsible for creating engaging social media posts, especially on Twitter, about the GSoD Indices to promote IDEA’s dataset.

Photography Experience: I appreciate photography as an art form and indulge in it as a hobby.
Video/TV/Filming Experience: None at present, but I’m keen to venture into this field as I am a huge fan of documentaries.
Knowledge of the European Parliament: I do have knowledge about the European Parliament and other EU institutions from my previous studies. I also have extra expertise in European party politics. Additionally, the knowledge products and communication of International IDEA primarily aimed at targeting (European) policymakers. I have also actively participated in various workshops focused on influencing policymakers through knowledge products.
Special Interests/Knowledge Relevant to Research/Investigative Journalism: My interests lie in radicalization, right-wing populism, nationalism, SRHR and sexual minorities.
Hobbies: I enjoy consuming culture, listening to music, visiting exhibitions, and attending orchestra performances. I am particularly enthusiastic about art that raises awareness of critical social issues, such as photography or documentaries. I’m also a fan of Slavoj Žižek and enjoy engaging in political discussions with friends over a beer. Additionally, I love watching movies, with Ruben Östlund ranking among my favourite directors of all time.
